PROCESS
This was probably one of my favorite costumes to make! The pink cotton circle skirt was gradient dyed by hand first. I used blue cotton to make the base of the dress bodice and used navy satin to create the little vest thing. I trimmed everything in gold satin and did some free form machine embroidery on the cuffs. I made the petticoat by hand. I covered a pair of wedge heels in blue stretch fabric and finished them off with Worbla accents.
The hat was made with Worbla that I glued the pink fabric to, and then glued the whole thing onto a plain thick headband. The staff was 3D printed, assembled, and then cast in resin. A bright LED light sits inside the pink gem and is powered by a battery unit in the base off the staff and accessed by a little thumb switch along the side.
The bag was self patterned and made using thick interfacing that was lined in cotton and covered in a pretty brown suiting material. I glued gems and beads onto it. Having a bag was *so nice* because I had a place to keep my phone and snacks!
